James Webb Telescope snoops the heart of close spiral galaxies
NASA's James webb telescope looks the nearby spiral galaxies for detail study of star formation.
This study is part of a much larger survey where astronomers use to study the inner core of spiral galaxies.
The goal was simple, to learn about the process of star formation and role of gas and dust in galactic formation.
Due to Webb infrared imaging tools, this image shows the inner core of observed galaxies.
The data has enabled an initial collection of 21 research papers which provide new insight...
into how some of the smallest-scale processes in our universe, the beginnings of star formation, impact the evolution of the largest objects in our cosmos.
This largest survey of nearby galaxies, is currently being carried out by the Physics at High Angular resolution in Nearby Galaxies (PHANGS) collaboration
Team is currently observing a total of 19 spiral galaxies located near our own by using high resolution images of Webb.
